Miner Library serving the University of Rochester Medical Center including the School of Medicine and Dentistry, the School of Nursing, and Strong Memorial Hospital. The Basil G. Bibby Library serving the Eastman Institute of Oral Health is a branch of Miner Library. Miner and Bibby provide resources, expertise and inviting spaces to support health, discovery, teaching and learning.

Policy for Alumni
Use of the Library
Alumni are welcome to visit the library. Reference librarians will provide assistance in locating appropriate materials, both in print and electronic formats. Alumni may use library materials within the library, or print or photocopy them using the library's self-service printers and copiers. There is a fee for printing and copying.
Direct Borrowing
(excludes unbound journals & reference collection)
UR alumni not currently affiliated with the University are eligible to purchase a Miner Library Borrower ID. Charge: $100/year + $10 for ID.
Remote Access to Electronic Resources
Alumni may access the library's electronic resources by visiting the library or may utilize the free resources listed in the Alumni Health & Biomedical Resource Center. However, UR alumni not currently affiliated with the University are not eligible for a remote access account.
Literature Searches
Reference librarians will assist alumni who visit the library in locating appropriate information using the library's databases. However, UR alumni not currently affiliated with the University are not eligible for librarian-conducted literature searches.
Document Delivery
UR alumni not currently affiliated with the University may order documents from a medical library through PubMed's Loansome Doc service. Local fees and delivery methods may vary.
