Multimedia Equipment

Scanners

• There is a high speed sheet fed scanner located in the MMC at station 4. This scans in color or black and white and scans both sides of a page simultaneously. Scanned documents can be opened in Photoshop, Kurzweil or Adobe Acrobat. The station has a CD/DVD burner for storage.
• The Art/Music Library has a flat bed scanner and a slide scanner available for use. Flash drives can be borrowed from the Art/Music Library Circulation desk.
• The IT Center has several scanners, including a large format flat bed scanner,a multipage document feeder, and a slide and negative scanner, available for student and faculty use.

Audio Cassette Players/ Recorders

• The MMC has a limited number of portable cassette player/ recorders available for one week loan.

Music Composition Scanning Software

• The MMC has 2 music composition rooms with Sibelius and Finale software. Room C has a scanner and Photoscore software for scanning sheet music or scores.

Televisions, VCRs, DVD Players and Camcorders

• The MMC does not loan equipment. If you need any special equipment for your classroom call Classroom Technology Services at 275-9014. Contact the IT help desk to borrow camcorders.

Braille Embosser

• Room E has a Juliet Pro 60 Braille embosser available for use by the University of Rochester Community. The Multimedia Center staff provides text to braille conversion upon request.
