Foreign Language Satellite Taping


The MMC can record programs, on a regular or occasional basis, from any of the channels listed below to support foreign language instruction. Contact the Multimedia Center mmclib@library.rochester.edu to request taping.

 

Off air recordings may be used once by individual teachers in the course of relevant teaching activities, and repeated once only when necessary, in the first 10 school days following their broadcast. They can then be used for research purposes only for the remainder of the semester, when they must be returned to the MMC to be erased.

 

Foreign Language Satellite Broadcasting


The Multimedia Center broadcasts a variety of International programming on the University of Rochester campus through ResTV
channels 5, 14, and 19.

The broadcast schedule may change occasionally to accommodate special satellite feeds, educational broadcasts, or taping requests.

Click on the station logo to link to their homepage for program guides.

You can also go to the Dish Network site
for TV5 (606), TV Japan(640), RAI (601), RTVI (592), and DW-TV (725): choose Programming from the menu bar, then Online Channel Guide. A dropdown menu will appear-choose International Channels. If you click on the channel name in the program grid a two-week program guide for that channel will open.
