The Black History Month Book Display

MLK Commemorative address by Michael Eric Dyson on Friday, Jan 27

January 26, 2012

The Black History Month book display is now up on the shelves near the Rush Rhees Circulation desk until the end of February.

The display features the works of Michael Eric Dyson, political analyst for MSNBC, acclaimed author, and professor of sociology at Georgetown University. Dyson will be giving the MLK Commemorative address at 6 p.m, Friday, Jan. 27 in Strong Auditorium.

Since this is an open display and people are welcome to borrow the books, we have included a bibliography of Dyson’s works from our collections that includes library locations and call numbers for people to take with them.  Also featured are selected books from our circulating collections by other authors on African American culture and history.
