Exhibit: A Citizen's Right to Vote
Exhibit: A Citizen's Right to Vote
United States vs Susan B. Anthony
Friedlander Lobby
February 4, 2013 9:00am - May 20, 2013 5:00pm
Susan B. Anthony's 1873 trial challenged the idea of citizenship in the post-Civil War era. The items on display chronicle eighty years of woman's rights activism and the struggle to assert what Anthony declared as her "citizen's right to vote."
Co-curated by Angela Taylor-Clark, of the Susan B. Anthony Institute, and Lori Birrell, Manuscript Librarian, this exhibit coincides with the Humanities Project Spring 2013 lecture series: The World of Susan B. Anthony. More information about the lecture series may be found at www.rochester.edu/College/humanities/ .
The exhibit will run from February 4 to May 20, 2013, in the Friedlander Lobby, First Floor, Rush Rhees Library.
