April 3, 2013 5:00pm - 6:00pm

The last Spotlight on...Series presentation for this academic year will be held on Wednesday, April 3rd.  The guest speaker will be Bill Gresens, the father of Nick Gresens, Professor of Religion and Classics, who will be speaking on "Archaeological Fiction: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly."

Bill Gresens is a former grants writer at the University of Wisconsin--LaCrosse.  Since 1991, he has been an avid supporter of the Mississippi Valley Archeology Center (MVAC), under the auspices of the University of Wisconsin--LaCrosse.  Since 2001, Mr. Gresens has reviewed over 100 archaeology fictions books for the Mississippi Valley Archeology Center's on-line book review page.  His passion for archaeology whether working with artifacts, surveying in the field, or working in the laboratory, led to MVAC awarding him  the 2010 Archeological Education Award.

Mr. Gresens presentation is in conjunction with an Archeological Display in the Welles-Brown Room.

Mr. Gresens will be introduced by Shirley Ricker, Religion and Classics Subject Librarian.

There will be light refreshments served.
