Benefits of Membership

You can support the Libraries' educational endeavors and enjoy a range of programs and events. These programs are linked to the Libraries' functions.

Friends can attend:

  • The Friends' Annual Meeting and Dinner. A tasty dinner with interesting companions who share the same desire to support the University Libraries and who love books. If you want more--there is always a fascinating guest speaker! Please see the Calendar for more information.

  • The Holiday Reading. This is sure to begin your holiday season off on the right foot. In the comfort of the Welles-Brown Room, Friends gather in early December to listen to selected readings and soothing sounds from some very talented musicians while they partake of fine foods. Please see the Calendar for more information.

  • The Neilly Series and all other University lectures open to the public, featuring a wide range of fascinating topics, such as the space race, mambo, modern mourning, Mt. Everest, or AIDS. Please see the Calendar for more information.

  • Periodic programs such as receptions at library exhibitions and tours.
