Student Book Collection Award 2012 Winner Announced...

...and the Winner is Hoss Firooznia, a current graduate student, who received his undergraduate degree in 1996 with a major in Cognitive Sciences. The theme of Hoss' book collection is "Esperanto and world literature."  Selected books from Hoss' collection will be exhibited in the Carlson Science and Engineering Library on the Second Floor beginning Thursday, April 26th.

Hoss' collection was chosen out of 12 outstanding entries from undergraduates and graduates at the University of Rochester.

The runner-up in the Student Book Collection Award is Berin Golonu, a graduate student in the Department of Visual and Cultural Studies.  The theme of her collection is "Contemporary Turkish Art."

The Friends of the University of Rochester Libraries will celebrate Hoss and Berin at a reception on Thursday, April 26th at 3:30 p.m. in the Carlson Science and Engineering Library, Second Floor.
