Izul Zulkarnain

CLIR Postdoctoral Fellow

Iskandar (Izul) Zulkarnain was a Mellon/CLIR Postdoctoral Fellow in Data Curation for Visual Studies at the University of Rochester. He completed his dissertation on Indonesian digital nationalism in 2015, with the support of the Mellon/ACLS Dissertation Completion Fellowship, and received his Ph.D. from the Graduate Program in Visual and Cultural Studies also at the University of Rochester. His interests cover critical digital humanities, global/postcolonial digital media studies, and transnational video game and animation studies. Izul worked on the project design and served as metadata specialist for Re-Envisioning Japan project.
