Marisa Nemcik is an architect and planner dedicated to advancing student well-being and success through design and strategy. She Co-Leads CannonDesign’s Whole Student initiative, which bridges higher education, student life, and mental and behavioral health to create environments where all students can thrive.

Her work focuses on student life, stakeholder engagement, and campus planning, with an emphasis on empowering student voice and supporting neurodiverse learners and Generation Alpha. By weaving together design and programming, Marisa helps institutions reduce barriers, foster belonging, and promote resilience, equity, and lifelong success.

In addition to her practice, Marisa is a WELL Accredited Professional and serves on the International WELL Building Institute’s WELL Mind Concept Global Advisory, contributing to the development of global standards for mental wellbeing in the built environment. She also regularly contributes thought leadership on the future of student life, exploring how the built environment can be a catalyst for wellbeing, inclusion, and transformative student experiences.
