Evans founded and has led The Lam Group of UBS Financial Services since 2008 in business and investment banking, insurance, and asset management industry, and private wealth advisory expertise serving global clients. The Lam Group is proud to be the guardian of wealth for the most productive people in the US and Asia.
Educated at University of Rochester (UR) with advanced degrees in Accounting, Economics and Finance on full merit scholarships, Evans is grateful for his academic and career achievements and has been inspired to give back to education and his community in meaningful ways through the revitalization of the UR Libraries (Evans Lam Square and Mary Ann Mavrinac Studio X), establishing the Institute of Performing Arts Medicine, endowing professorships at the UR Simon School and the Eastman School of Music as well as numerous scholarships across the campus. He has been a Voting Trustee for the UR for 14 years and chairs the George Eastman Circle.
Evans is the founding President of the HKSAF Scholarship Foundation and Vice Chair of the Morning Light Foundation, aiding over 5,000 college students pursuing their dream education in the US and China. He is recognized at the UR with the John Wilder Award (2010), David Kearns Medal of Distinction (2012), the Eastman School of Music Centennial Award (2021), and honored by the Chinese American Museum as a Historymaker and the Judge Ronald S.W. Lew Visionary Award (2016).
