Maurini Strub is a seasoned storyteller and systems thinker with a passion for helping organizations clarify their mission and demonstrate the impact of their strategic initiatives. She currently serves as Interim Vice Provost and Interim Andrew H. & Janet Dayton Neilly Dean of the University of Rochester Libraries, where she brings a collaborative, forward-thinking approach to leadership grounded in deep experience across academic libraries.
In this interim role, Maurini has guided the Libraries through a period of transition, fostering organizational alignment while sustaining momentum on strategic priorities. She integrates user-centered design with long-range planning, ensuring that resources are deployed purposefully to create high-impact, mission-driven outcomes. Her inclusive leadership style builds trust across diverse stakeholders - faculty, students, alumni, and donors - reinforcing the Libraries’ central role in advancing research, teaching, and learning at a top-tier research institution.
Previously, as Assistant Dean for Strategy & Planning, Maurini embedded assessment and evaluation across programs and services, cultivating a strong culture of evidence-based decision-making. A committed advocate for equity, inclusion, and accessibility, she brings integrity, institutional perspective, and a strong service ethos to her work. She is also a valued partner in university-wide initiatives spanning academic innovation, philanthropy, and community engagement.
