Meaghan Moody is the Director of the Mary Ann Mavrinac Studio X at the University of Rochester Libraries, where she leads efforts to integrate extended reality (XR) into research, teaching, and learning. She is committed to building inclusive, interdisciplinary communities that critically and creatively explore emerging technologies. Since its launch, Studio X has grown from a start-up focused on student engagement into a sustainable, research-integrated hub that supports faculty projects and innovative applications of XR across disciplines.
In her role, Meaghan also focuses on developing student talent to extend the capacity of technology-rich library spaces. By mentoring student employees and embedding them into projects and services, she helps cultivate career-ready skills while ensuring that Studio X’s offerings remain flexible, innovative, and responsive to evolving community needs.
Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to mentorship, collaboration, and critical engagement with technology, ensuring that learners and researchers alike not only develop technical expertise but also consider the broader cultural and societal implications of digital tools.
