Yasmin Mattox is a systems change leader with a global perspective, committed to redesigning structures to expand opportunity, self-sufficiency, and resilience. Mattox’s career has been guided by the principle that meaningful change requires systemic solutions. She applies this lens to her work, building innovative, community-driven solutions and interventions that integrate human and equity-centered design, technology, policy, and cross-sector partnerships.

Drawing on her experiences across local, national, and international contexts, she designs programs and strategies that enhance resilience, adaptability, and sustainable impact. A lifelong learner, Yasmin blends rigorous analysis with creative problem-solving, leveraging networks to address complex challenges. Her work reflects a core belief: systems must be intentionally structured to ensure that every person can thrive, not just survive. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Alfred University and an M.S. in International Studies from Saint John Fisher College. As Director of Barbara J. Burger iZone, the University of Rochester’s social innovation center, she leads strategy and oversees all operations to ensure student changemakers have the skills, networks, and tools to create impact now. She has also led work across renewable energy, healthcare, consulting, and higher education, consistently driving systems-level change through innovation and creative problem-solving.
