Short Description

The Mary Ann Mavrinac Studio X is the hub for extended reality at the University of Rochester. We provide access to space, technology, expertise, and community to transform teaching and research.

What We Do

Space 

Located on the first floor of Carlson Library, our 3,000 square foot lab is designed to enhance work with extended reality (XR) tools and methods. 

Technology

We provide a wide variety of reservable XR equipment for UR students, faculty, and staff. 

Expertise

Attend hands-on, skill-building workshops on XR content creation and development or request a customized consultation with our staff. 

Community

Studio X is the hub for XR at the UR. We support and connect 50+ XR researchers across disciplines at the UR.
