Caleb Kohn-Blank


Caleb Kohn-Blank ('25) is an XR Specialist. He is majoring in Digital Media Studies and is from Brooklyn, NY. He is passionate about XR and its ability to create unique and innovative fun experiences. In addition to working at Studio X, he is a part of the UX Club, and in his free time likes to read, craft, and play video games.

Hammer Chen


Hammer Chen is a photographer at Studio X. Through his photography, he looks to capture humanity in the everyday. Hammer's photographs have been exhibited in NYC, Rochester, and Glasgow. At Studio X, Hammer is part of the Marketing Team mainly focusing on photographing different events.

Sarah Bernstein


Sarah Bernstein ’26 is a Marketing Assistant for Studio X. As a Computer Science and Digital Media Studies double major, pursuing the UX certificate, she has developed a passion for the intersections between design, tech, HCI, and education. In her free time, Sarah enjoys singing, playing guitar, and hanging out with friends. 

Earl Bumagat


Earl L. Bumagat '26 is a junior in the Class of 2026 and is from Los Angeles, CA, he's majoring in Digital Media Studies and double minoring in Business and Studio Arts. He likes social media, doodling, exploring the world through fun adventures, and making people smile! 

He aspires to work in the communications field in NYC post-grad. He also like to be involved on campus so you might see him in Class Council, SA Government, Filipino-American Students’ Association, or Student Activities Board while I’m not in Studio X.He's super excited to join this team

Make It Happen Grants

University of Rochester Libraries (URL) gifted seed funding to support 13 enterprising students and alumni who successfully pitched innovative projects last semester.

Through the Make It Happen Grant Program, the URL awarded grants from $500 to $1500 to undergraduates, graduate students, and alumni who sought support for projects ranging from social entrepreneurship to artistic pursuits.

University Libraries celebrates Arthurian Legend

University of Rochester Libraries, in collaboration with guest curators Barbara Tepa Lupack and Alan Lupack, have undertaken an ambitious project to explore the King Arthur legends and the impact on popular culture, art, and literature.

Drawing from the Lupack’s collection, “Visualizing Camelot” is a year-long exhibition of more than 350 items related to the Arthurian legend that celebrate the ongoing appeal of the Arthurian legend, especially in England and America.

Summer Interns Take on the Library

“I’ve listened to prospective authors gush over their projects, learned about what factors cause the press to accept or reject manuscripts, spread the word about the press to dozens of university libraries and departments, scoured manuscripts for errors in grammar and formatting, created lists of keywords for scores of books” explained rising junior, Natalie Opdahl, who worked at the UR Press this summer. “And learned more about British plastic surgery during World War II than I had ever imagined I would.”
